   I originally posted this on: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/229767?replies=2 but never got a response so I thought this might be a better forum.

   I am working on a project: http://www.kffb.com and have some RSS Feeds setup as sidebar widgets. If you go to the site the "State News" (2nd in the left column) is an RSS Feed. My client wants to have these links open in a new window. I have found some plugins that do the _blank to external links but they only seem to work on posts and pages and not in the sidebar widgets. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can make this work?

   I have looked around and haven't been able to find a solution for this. Any suggestions are welcome.

   Hi Cotton,

   Correct me if I am wrong (and I could definitely be wrong!), the problem is when you upgrade... doesn't the widgets.php get overwritten?

   Hi Cotton,

   As good as your solution looks, I cannot find the lines in the widget.php.
   Maybe a wp 3.8 thing?
