i am off site working on a laptop trying to make new connections, etc so i may work on the blogs. two sites were accessible, business as usual. now all of a sudden both sites in the admin section are " generic " layouts. what happened? what to look for, to do?

Posted 10 months ago #just did a complete reinstall on one and problem is fixed. assume other will do same. not sure how same thing could have occurred on two different sites.

Posted 10 months ago #well, reloaded both and both looked normal. i then activated a plugin and the layout went generic. i reloaded wp-admin and everything looked ok. then reactivated a different plug (execable PHP widget v1.1, a very benign plug) and generic layout.
then went to the other brand new site with no plugins and clicked to a different menu in admin and !! generic layout. very perplexing. i am going to ignore generic layout while away from home and hope this does not happen at home. any thoughts?
note: on a mac using firefox v2.005 - hmmm. going to upgrade FF as soon as i post this.
