I have about 400 posts that need updating to their categories and tags because they're old and blah blah blah.
I think 'Quick edit is perfect!' since I can check each post and fix one, save, move on. The problem is sometimes it hangs. It has no correlation to what I change (sometimes it's a category adding, sometimes its removing and adding, sometimes I'm adding tags). Sometimes I'll get through 10 without a hitch and then 5 hang. I don't have any errors in my log, and yet it just hangs and the 'spinning icon of doom' wheels round and round and I start to sing Windmills in my Mind.
*ahem*
The real fun is when I refresh the page. About 75% of the post is correctly changed (if I wait 2 minutes or so I can get 100%).
I can reproduce this on Firefox 3 (Windows XP and OS X 10.5) and Safari (Mac only). The blog was originally 2.0.9 and has been upgraded faithfully with every release. I have plugins (heh) but none for categories and tags. I used to have simple categories (I think), but dumped it with 2.7 since I like quick edit.
