• A while back I internally linked to a previous post in one of my newer posts and, as always, I got an email notification of a comment. Now though, whenever I post a new posts, I get the same notification email that treats it like I just posted that one post again. I’m moving servers soon, which may fix it, but in the meantime, has this happened to anyone else before?

    Thanks,

Yep, even on the new server I keep self pinging 🙁

It still happens, it’s not the same ping anymore, but it’s always a pingback from a previous post. It’s like it’s out of sync! Anyone know what could be the culprit and what possible fixes are?

A solution to prevent this until the cause is discovered would be to use something like the No Self Pings plugin.

    Thanks iridiax!

I’ll try this out. Could this bug though be delaying other pingback/trackbacks to other sites I link to? Just curious :-/

Hi: I have a lot of old self pingbacks.
Do you know what is the request to write in PhpMyAdmin to delete all of them?
