I have tried several times to get this plugin to work with the new version of wordpress, but to no avail. I have also noticed that this plugin has been updated a year ago. Anyone know when a new compatible update to the new wordpress will be out?
Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Since I've upgraded to Wordpress 2.7 and changed my theme, Subscribe to comments doesn't appears under the comment box. any suggestions?

I even tried to add it manually with the code provided, but no one was able to subscribe or receive anything.

@benovic
Thanks! It's working perfect now in 2.7.

Thanks for the tip SuperMAG.
I just want to point out that if the database user you have specified in wp-config.php does not have the privilege to "ALTER" tables, this plugin would not send any email. It may appear like it's working but the email would not be sent.
It took me while to figure this out, so I felt that I should share it with others.

I have 2.7.1 and neither of these comment notification widgets works for my site. The Subscribe-to-Comments lets the check box appear so the reader can select comment notification. The Comment Reply widget doesn't even do that.
I verified with my host that my database has the alter tables option.
Does anyone else have some ideas? Thank you!

Yea @PoleSkivvies, I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Does anybody have any suggestions? it can't be that anybody using 2.7 can't have a 'subscribe to comments' option, surely?!
