    I had problems with my WordPress host which forced me to reinstall WordPress and begin again. Now I cannot connect to the old mysql database. I have a fresh install, but modified the wp-config file with the old mysql database information. When I refresh the page, the page is blank. No error messages, nothing. How do I correctly reconnect to the old database? Please advise…

    The website. I edited the wp-config file, uploaded it and then go to the site to refresh the page. When I do that, the page is blank. No error messages, nothing…

    The site is at http://rightsideofwisconsin.com if that helps. The database info at godaddy is;

    Hmmm. Apparently I had a different problem. The database was there, but the default theme was broken. All is well. Thanks…

    which is precisely what I was asking for more information. blank pages typically have nothing to do with database connection issues.

    Providing more info, rather than less is always better.

    Wow. Thanks for the *support*. Why didn’t you say that before? Or ask ‘can you log in to the admin’? I provided more information and you said nothing, whooami…

    why do you expect other people to answer questions you havent asked?

    its NOT up to anyone here to guess what your problem is, you need to be able to articulate it. which is WHY i asked what I asked.

    you think support means we are mind readers? think again.

    Furthermore, contrary to what you might you think, we arent all sitting in threads, refreshing the page, waiting for replies. Look at your posts and you see the same timestamp — they came in a flurry before ANYONE had a chance to reply.
