   when i release a new post, i want visitors to have to click on the link to the post to read the entire post, not just being able to read it off the front page. can anyone help me out? thanks

   Sure, just add this quicktag in your post where you would like the text to stop. There is a button for this in the Visual Editor and the HTML Editor (Administration > Write > Post).
