a thread for this plugin ( http://wordpress.org/support/topic/161609?replies=18 ) got me to thinking about how to set up the evolution of my site. i am using v2.7 with a theme that really works for me. so going to MU may or may not work at this point in time. so here is my question and maybe someone can give me a bit of insight...
trying to find a way to split my site into two distinct sections that link to each other. the different sections offer different features/different post layouts. same database.
1) is there a way to have optional layouts for a post?
option 1 ( default) = header 1, sidebar 1
option 2 = header 2, sidebar 2
OR
2a) two sites using same theme but have same domain name and reader slips seamlessly (unknowingly) from one site to the other
OR
2b) slightly different domain name ( domain.com, domain-search.com )
