   I am very new to Wordpress, but excited about the posibilities!!
   I have a website (of course) and want to "seamlessly" connect it to my wordpress blog. I'd like the blog to appear as just another page on my website. The ways to do this I am familiare with are:
   1) I could frame the blog on my site and therefore controll the look and retain my reader.
   2) I could make my bolg look similar to my website and have links back and forth between the two (I think I can do this, anyway).

   Being new to Wordpress, I am not sure how hard it will be to make my blog look similar to my website, or how hard it is to create a button that says "Go back to website".

   Can anyone suggest the pros and cons of these two approaches and you thoughts on the best method?

   Thank you in advance for any consdieration you provide.

   This is exactly what I have set up on my site. My blog is a sub-section of my site, and I use WP to power it.

   I'm assuming you downloaded WP and are not talking about using a free blog on wordpress.com?

   Essentially you're going to have to make your own theme for your WP installation that uses the same style settings as your site.

   What I did was:

   1. Downloaded WP and installed in it's own directory on my site: "/blog".
   2. Using the default WP theme as a guide, I then created a custom theme using the same CSS settings as my site.

   Thanks for the feedback. I guess I agree that having the blog in a subdir would be better than framing it. It is just harder.
   I am working now to try and figure ot excatly how to modify a theme without it blowing up.

   Have you heard any good news about Artisteer? It is supposed to be able to create a WP theme automatically.

   In its most basic sense modifying a theme is just changing the HTML. I'm not saying it's easy, by no means, but it's not as difficult as a lot of ppl think.

   How did you create your current website?

   I haven't heard anything about Artisteer in all honesty, so I can't comment on it. Haven you checked out the Theme Directory? You may find something you really like.

   There are also tutorials on converting dreamweaver templates to wordpress themes as well to help you get started.
