I guess I have to deny the public the use of my uber plugin – it made popcorn and everything!

Sure doesn’t inspire me to develop any more (or more advanced) plugins in the future. You’d think WP could at least respond to people who take the time to develop addons for other people to use and ultimately make WP a better product :\ Oh well, I’m sure I can find something else to do with my time 🙂

lol … You know it’s not so bad …You have just created the first “Virtual” WP Plugin in the World! 🙂

    can i have some popcorn?

    please

Just upload the popper and some butter to your WordPress plugins directory and then activate “popcorn plugin” through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress!

Try logging in to the repository anyway with your forum login. If it’s been set up for you that should get you in.

Sheesh that sounds messy. Don’t like the idea of getting butter in my directories!

Do the plug-in follow the guidelines? (GPL etc)

Please host the popcorn making plugin on your own website, or on Google Code.

Then make a thread here on the Plugins section of the forum announcing your plugin, description, demo, screenshots, install notes. Put good tags like you put for this post, and people will find it by searching wordpress.org even if it is not in the plugin repository per se, plus we can find it thru Google.

Also announce your plugin through http://www.weblogtoolscollection.com as they will announce new plugins even if it is not in the Plugin directory.

In conclusion I don’t know why they haven’t responded to your plugin, however, many members of the community would like to find out about new plugins from other channels outside of this website alone. If it looks good and reliable I will try it even if it’s not hosted in the directory.
