• Before upgrading to 2.7 and the newest version of download-monitor for some reason when you would try to download a file through the manager it would re-direct to error 404 page for all downloads. So I upgraded to 2.7 and the latest version of downlaod monitor and it does the same thing.

Any ideas why the plugin would just stop working?

    Thanks

  • Hey!!what happen!

Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of fsockopen(). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file in /mnt/local/home/xxxx/xxxx.cl/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/classes/linkValidator.class.php on line 193

    ??

I am having the exact same problems that jglass is having. Did you manage to solve your issues?

Also, could anyone explain what Hixaga has pointed out, in simpler terms? Thanks.

It seemed that I was the only one with this problem.

same problem here. 404 on all files, if i enable url rewriting….

any updates on this issue anyone?

yeah… new version did not fix anything…

    Ok to answers questions –

fsockopen() error is a problem with the dead link checker not being compatible with your server. Just don’t use this feature unless you can find a workaround.

To fix your url rewriting, first ensure the file exists, also try re-saving your wordpress permalink settings. That should fix 99% of cases.

yes, the files exist and permalink structure did get updated. I have checked the .htaccess file and i see the Rewerite rule there, however, all i get is 404. Calling file directly works, however.

Can you paste the rewrite rules here? And link to the problem page.

Im getting the Invalid Add method error,.. any suggestions, everything was working 3 weeks ago, went to add a download this morning and nothing,… just the error.

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule ^test/(.*)$ wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=$1 [L]
