After upgrading to 2.7 I was unable to publish anything until I deactivated WP-Visitors 1.0. This is a cool plugin so I hope the author will look into it. Thanks.

I am looking into it. I believe I have followed the steps (for writing a WP) plugin but won't rule out mistakes from my end. Will certainly fix it by v1.2.
