Error 500 when posting or saving

    When I try to save or publish, I guess a 500 error. The autosave function also seems to be doing the same. I thought this might have been an issue with 21.6.3 so I upgraded to 2.7 and I am still having a problem.

    However, it doesn’t seem to be super consistent. Autosave has saved a post and I have been able to save some changes. it almost seems random.

    To add, I’ve deactivated -all- plugins an it still happens so it’s not interference.

    I see this is a problem with some servers. I have several installs on the same server which are not experiencing this issue.

    Apparently, this was only happening with longer posts and was due to mod_security. I have since found an answer.
