media library gallery problems

Why has the way the galleries work in 2.7 changed so much?.

In 2.6 you could paste a gallery into a post and then choose a separate image from anywhere else in teh media library to use a separate image.

Now, for some reason, if you try and insert a separate pic inot a post it gets amalgamated into the gallery.

There must surely be an option for excluding images from the gallery but still allow them to appear in the post.

It wasn’t perfect before but at least you could do it – now you just messed it up.

Other than that 2.7 is a vast vast improvement in speed efficiency and usability – so far!!
