   How to fix this?
   upgrade file permission has been set to 777 or 755.
   

   Upgrade Plugin
   
   Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/contact-form-7.1.9.zip
   
   Unpacking the update
   
   Could not copy file: /public_html/wp-content/upgrade/wp-contact-form-7/contact-form-7/README.txt
   
   Plugin upgrade Failed

   Also, frequent errors like this when clicking on update pugins:
   

   Download failed.: connect() timed out!
   
   Plugin upgrade Failed

   I am having this same issue with this same plugin. Also having it with others.

   Just installed that plugin with these messages returned:
   

   Downloading plugin package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/contact-form-7.1.9.zip
   
   Unpacking the plugin package
   
   Installing the plugin
   
   Successfully installed the plugin Contact Form 7 1.9.

   wp-content, wp-content/upgrade, and wp-content/plugins have 755 on my server.

   tried it a few times again today.. no i get this error:
   connect() timed out.. then name server not found? it could be that 2.7 is getting so much download,s its hogging the server :-)

   just have to try again..

   Hi I am getting the following message on all of my plugin updates
   Download failed.: connect() timed out!
   HELP

   I cannot delete the four TTF files in the Gentium directory.

   Hence I cannot update the plugin manually after the auto upgrade failed as above.
