i love wp! its better than i ever imagined and have been trying to change the text on the main page so that it doesn't say what the template i installed says by default.

i went to index.php first, then looked at the css, then looked at the templates and didn't seem to see it

can anyone help? it is 1.5 but i can only image that its so much easier than 1.2. i just installed 1.5 tonight and it is amazing!

I think piper is stating that he/she wishes to remove the and theme name credit for the template.

Although each to their own on this matter, I personally think it's a kind gesture for the hard work they put into it. However, if you do wish to remove it, you can do so by going to the footer, I believe.

Also note that some themes do require the author name to be implemented - how many care for this, I don't know. It's a shame more don't though, in my personal opinion.

    The author's site is here:

To edit the sidebar....edit sidebar.php which will be in themes\yourtheme\

i wasn't trying to do all that... i did want the ability to change my sidebar to suit the site though.

ever since i found that template i have been at theron's site at least 100 times until i could actually get the host up and running.

i love that simple look and am not trying to do any of what you presumed at all

The stuff on the right is also in footer.php for this theme, I believe, rather than the typical sidebar.php.
