Support » Fixing WordPress » [Plugin: Facelift Image Replacment (FLIR)] Forcing bold where font won’t?

  • I am using a font which does not have BOLD capabilities integrated (natively) into the font.

Are there any other ways to affect the weight of fonts rendered using FLIR?

  • Not currently though the CSS as specified should be read to modify the font.

Yeah, I’ve done that, even increased “font-weight” to 900. The font (itself) doesn’t have any bold in it (as I said), so it seems that it just won’t render as bold.
(In Photoshop, I have to use the Faux Bold feature to get the bold effect.)

Just curious if there’s a known hack to make ImageMagick (or whatever) force a stronger weight.

    THANKS!!!

You probably can with ImageMagick. I’ll see about writing a quick effect plugin to do Faux Bold – it might be a bit before I can get to it though.
