Little help please. I am trying to create users that have the ability to read, write, upload and delete only their own stuff. I also need the ability to approve the posts before they are published.
I can't tell what user level access to give to make this happen? Coffee on me if somebody can help! :)

Yes, I found that page, but I don't see how I can do what I'm looking to do?

Author is the closest, but it gives permissions I don't want to give. How do I change that in a more granular fashion?

WP used to have a slider permission thingy on the users page through the dashboard, but I see that is unavailable now.
I am also looking for users to have the ability to read, write, upload and delete only their own stuff. I also need the ability to approve the posts before they are published.
Please can someone help.

If you want that the users can create, edit, upload their stuff, but you want to approve them before publish, I think what you need is the Contributor for those users.
* Administrator - Somebody who has access to all the administration features
* Editor - Somebody who can publish posts, manage posts as well as manage other people's posts, etc.
* Author - Somebody who can publish and manage their own posts
* Contributor - Somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish posts
* Subscriber - Somebody who can read comments/comment/receive news letters, etc.
Some of my contributors are leery of allowing other contributors even to see titles of others' draft posts (politics!)
Is there a way to have a contributor edit and SEE just their own posts

This link helped me let users post things, but it lets EVERYONE post.
