All Comments Disappeared, Can’t Add New Comments

    I started an item about this earlier this morning and can’t find it. All the comments that have ever been made on one of my blogs have disappeared, and new ones can no longer be added.

    The only thing I did recently was add my blog to YouTube and enable this option: “Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.” But I turned that off, and undid the changes on the YouTube side and that didn’t help.

    Can anyone help me? Thank you.

    If you are running a WordPress Plugin that interacts with your blog comments, turn it off if you are using WordPress 2.7. Refresh (clear the cache) of your browser and see if this resolves the problem.

    Did you install any Plugins or make changes to your Theme before enabling YouTube?

    Thank you so much for answering! I turned off the two plugins I was using, Akismet and Blog Stats, but that didn’t help. I also upgraded both of those and that didn’t help either, alas.

    I haven’t made any changes to my Theme. This is weird, right? I’m using 2.6.

    Oh my goodness, this very same thing happened to me! I haven’t made *any* changes at all to the site with the exception of adding a widget a week or so ago. What can I do? Any help is greatly appreciated.
