Upgraded to 2.7, now can't edit posts (12 posts)

Hey guys!
I have just upgraded to 2.7 and I love the new interface! But I'm having one major problem; it won't let me edit specific posts. When I go to "Edit posts" it says that it is "Displaying 1–15 of 90", but it's only showing ONE post. When I click page 2 it's also "Displaying 16–30 of 90" but really only showing one post, having skipped a lot. When I try to amend the edit URL for the post ID that I want to edit it just sends me back to the edit post page.
One crucial difference is that I'm using the "gengo" multilingual plugin (so I have the same post, but in several languages). But others have upgraded to Wordpress 2.7 with this plugin and don't have this problem.
This problem did not exist before 2.7
Thoughts or suggestions hugely appreciated!

No thoughts at all?? :( Maybe upgrading wasn't such a great idea - I can't find any references to this issue... I upgraded using the automatic upgrade plugin if that makes any difference.
I found a work-around to edit posts (I was amending the edit URL wrong before), by finding out the post number (luckily all posts translated have their post number indicated in the gengo settings) and going to mysite.com/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=707 (or whatever number), but it's a very messy way to go about it :(
Suggestions?

I am having the same issue. I have read that it is a Norton Anti virus issue but I have tried all the suggested steps to fix that and nothing. I have even gone and logged in using a different machine that doesn't have Norton on it and I still have the same problem. Further, I logged into an account that is hosted by WP ad I have no problems then which means it could be a server issue as it was suggested in another thread.

As soon as I can afford the time to follow the steps required to re-install WP I will be doing that but you can bet your bottom dollar that I won't be installing this latest version.

If any WP people are reading any of this stuff why not give us an option in a future upgrade, the ability to toggle between classic admin layout and this new crappy layout?

Do all the posts show up when you disable the plugin?

If the plugin is incompatible, then you need to ask the plugin author to update it.

Which Plugin are you speaking of Automatic Update? If you are then there was no difference when that plugin was deactivated.

I used the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin. Disabling the gengo plugin is not an option; I'd rather have a messy way of editing posts than lose the plugin that holds my entire site structure together. I'd be afraid of losing settings if I disabled it. Anyway it is compatible because others use it with 2.7 and they have not mentioned this issue, so it might not even be that plugin causing the problem. Support isn't great for gengo but hopefully there'll be an update soon if it is the issue. If anyone else has this issue (LuckyLester?) could you mention if you use gengo or any other plugin that alters the interface layout?
Not sure about Norton contributing, as far as I know my blog doesn't have Norton Antivirus on it, unless it's a part of Wordpress?

Disabling the gengo plugin is not an option

If you can't do that, then you can't tell if that is the cause of the issue.

Sometimes plugins are incompatible. If you're not willing to ditch them, then I advise against upgrading. Restore your backup from before the upgrade, and downgrade back to 2.6.5.

No I do not use Gengo.

The suspected Norton issue is due to Norton being on your computer and not on WP.

It looks like a down grade is the only option for me and that means more wasted time :(

I just read about how the RB Internal Links plugin was causing this problem so I went in and deactivated it and it is now working fine. If you have the RB Internal Links plugin deactivate it and if you are lucky the problem should be fixed.

This issue is clearly not specific to any particular plugin or any one account. How can we submit it as a bug? I am having a nightmare of a time editing just simple details on previous posts...

This issue is clearly not specific to any particular plugin or any one account.

That's not very scientific and won't solve anything without real data.

I've re-read this thread and may have missed this; can you please disable all your plugins and see if that resolves your issue? If it does, turn them on one at a time, try to reproduce the bug until you find the plugin causing the problem.

If that is not doable for you then do what Otto said and restore your backup to it's pre-2.7 state.
