I found the solution, or at least it worked for me.
If you have the Admin Drop Down Menu plugin installed, just deactivate it.
You can type your this in your browser’s address bar to gain access to your plugin page – http://www.YourBlogAddress/wp-admin/plugins.php .
If it doesn’t work, try deactivating other plugins on the page.

I had the “Lighte Menus” plugin on and this was causing the trouble.
Now it works like a charm. 🙂

I cannot see my sidebar either. But when I type in http://www.myblogaddress/wp-admin/plugins.php nothing happens. I just get a blank screen.
Anyone have any advice?

My problem is slightly weird. After I upgraded from v.2.7 to v.2.7.1, the dashboard menu became at the top instead of at the side.
Anybody has the same problem? Any solution, please?
Ok, i found the solution after reading some other posts.
I relooked into all the plugins I’ve installed. there’s one called “admin-menu” which gives you drop-down menu feature. It’s installed long before my upgrade to v2.7.1.
Well, I deactivated it and the navigation menu changed from top to side. Hope this helps those who’re facing similar problem as me.
