   phpBB3 can be added to your wordpress theme. It's open source code like wordpress. You install it in it's own folder and provide a link in your header, footer, post, etc. wherever you want the link to show up. I'm using it at refineryturnarounds.com. You can check it out if you like. I just recently installed it and don't have many users, but it's up and running.
