   There should be an option for inserting multiple images at once. Sometimes I upload lots of images for a post and want to write comments between them after inserting. Gallery feature is not suitable for inserting comments, media etc between images. In order to insert the images via media manager, I must enter the media manager many times! Media manager itself is not so fast so it takes a very long time. There should be an option in media manager for choosing and inserting multiple images at once.

   Have you switched on Turbo mode? It might speed up the media manager a little bit. I rarely have to insert more than about 4 or 5 images in a single post though, so I probably haven't experienced the same frustration you have.

   http://wordpress.org/support/topic/181142?replies=9 is a kind of fix i still not tried. Have a look.
