• Hi Guys,

    I’m new here and I’ve installed WordPress on my domain with a default blue and green theme (very nice) but… somehow, I have RSS, Search, News, Blogroll on the left side and I don’t know how to remove them.

    Of course, I’d like to get a Contact form and a photo and movies gallery.

    Do you know how to do that ? ^_^

    I know, it’s a lot of things but “searching” in the Forum, I can’t find anything…

    Thanks guys !

    Kalvin

  • wp-admin -> design -> widgets.
    See if you can remove any widgets from there.

    THen open your theme’s sidebar.php and remove the unwanted stuff.

    contact form -> here
    image gallery -> here
    movie gallery -> here

    I have no widgets : “No Sidebars Defined”
    I’ve taken the GreenIdea 1.5.1 by Nd83 theme which is very nice but… lots of thing I don’t need.

    I don’t know how to create a “menu” for my

    Contacts
    Gallery
    Admin Links

    thanks a lot ! ^_^

    no widgets, not a problem, you’ll need to do it all manually 🙂
    did you edit your theme’s sidebar.php file?

    The contact thing is easy: download a contact plugin of your choice (I like contact form 7), upload and activate, then create a new Page called “contact” and enter the necessary little code [contact-form 1 "Kontaktformular 1"] or something. The plugin will tell you how to do this.

    Admin links … why do you want this? You mean an “edit” button under each post for you/the admin?
