Is http://static.wordpress.org/changes.xml intended to be a more reliable version of http://www.weblogs.com/changes.xml? Currently, it seems to 404 whenever there’s a problem with http://www.weblogs.com/changes.xml, i.e., often.

Wouldn’t it be great if pingomatic produced its own updated blogs feed?
