• This may sound like a dumb question, but I haven’t been able to find an answer.

I am switching from a WordPress.com blog to a WordPress.org blog and I would like to transfer my stats from the original blog to the second blog. When I say transfer, I am just talking about the hits number. I have almost 81,000 hits on the original blog and I would like to have the stats start from there on the second blog. Is there a way to do this?

I just searched and found a few previous posts where people stated that this cannot be done.

If you want the same type of stats on your self-hosted WP install, here is the plugin to do it:

    Hi Dagon Design,

Thanks for your reply. I have the WP.com stats already installed. Once I get everything tweaked and set my redirect from my wp.com site to my new wp.org site, I’d like to seed the stats on my new blog so that it keeps ticking up from where the old one left off. I really don’t want to start over at 0 again.

If you know of any way to do this, I’d love to hear it, if not, eh… I took a shot.

    Cheers,
    Maggie
