Change default format of pingback author

I’m running 1.5, the 1/25 nightly build to be specific. I discovered today that the default author name of a pingback (blogname » postname) breaks my rss feed. I can manually change the name of the author, but if there ever comes a day that more people than myself pingback to my blog, that would become cumbersome. I haven’t found where the setting is for the author’s name in a pingback, but I’d like very much to change it, if that’s possible, since I also like having a working rss feed for comments.
