   I've successfully installed NextGen, and I've installed and used it on other websites in the past.

   This time, there's an issue or two.

   When I upload photos to a gallery, no matter how many or how few, all the photos will upload but the system will stall after making just one thumbnail. The admin says the thumbnail was successfully created, and the meter shows the proper percentage of the job is complete. But no more thumbnails will be created and the process stalls there.

   2. If I upload a folder full of photos by FTP, then point NextGen at the folder, it will not recognize the photos. It will list the gallery and create the thumbs subfolder, but will not show any photos as being in the folder.

   Any ideas?

   Never mind -- and thanks for following up.

   I see that the problem is I'm on 1and1.com.

   It's just a family website, so I'll find another method.

   @lovebus: Sorry to say this, but you don't fix it on 1and1. They've got their servers set up with a very low memory limit. A 1 meg photo can error out the system by exceeding the memory needed to process it into its various sizes.

   Search the forum for 1and1 and NextGen and you'll see a more detailed discussion.

   Does it still throw an error when uploading the images via FTP?
