Blog Metrics was a great plugin, right up until the latest version. I upgraded yesterday, only to be presented with a box of yoast.com spam on my dashboard page. And there's not an option within the plugin to disable this spam. No thanks, Joost! This plugin has been uninstalled.
You should see there a "remove this widget" link on the bottom of the box, when clicked it will be removed.
I guess you have to scroll down in the box to see that link, so it has previously been completely invisible to me. Still, I don't like it, but at least, now that it's disabled, I can use this plugin again. Thanks for the tip, sparun.

Oddly even if you remove this widget in the 2.7 beta 3 the box is still showing in the dashboard, it's just blank.
@corourke: you can disable it in the settings for the dashboard in 2.7 now.
@s2j: it wasn't intended as spam, that's why I added the delete link (it's been there all the time), but please do be aware that I make no money off of this, so the only thing I can do is create a bit of reach for my blog...

SPAM is an absolute NOT!
As soon as I made the connection, even though I liked the plugin, it was immediately disabled and deleted.
Too bad, there was so much potential. A warning to potential installers should be clearly made by the author before the plugin is installed.
@JellyBeen well our opinions obviously differ there, you can remove it with 1 (!!!) click.
