   I am new to Wordpress and web development. I downloaded wordpress 2.6.2 from Go Daddy which works just fine but there's that annoying message that 2.6.3 is available, please update now. I've tried to update three times and each time I go to my blog it tells me I'm using 2.6.2. Help somebody!

   Also since 2.6.2 to 2.6.3 involved only 4 files you could upload those 4 files.

   Here's the names of those four files:
   wp-admin/includes/media.php
   wp-content/plugins/akismet/akismet.php
   wp-includes/class-snoopy.php
   wp-includes/version.php

   So if I wanted to upgrade my Version of wordpress on GoDaddy, do I just:

   1) Download the newest version (2.6.3) of wordpress
   2) Unzip the file
   3) Locate the files you mention
   and, FINALLY 4) Upload them to the paths above?

   Hopefully you are asking,"Do I delete the four OLD files first?". If so, then I second samboll on that.
