I downloaded 2.6.3 from wordpress.org and unzipped it, but the only files in it are wp-includes and five other single files. No admin, setup or content. Can someone tell me where a complete install zip for 2.6.3 can be found? Thanks

There must be something wrong on your end: I just downloaded it 30 seconds ago and all the files and folders are present in the .zip package.

Interesting. Guess I'll download another zip program and if that doesn't work, I'll try other scripts until I find one I can get into. This is the only zip file I've ever had a problem with. Thanks

I have a similar issue. The download file unzips a bunch of files, but there are not wp-content, wp-admin, or wp-includes folders. When I run the http://www.sitename.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php, I get a 404 error. Can anyone give a hint as to the solution of this problem?

Yes, I have checked and rechecked the SQL setup on the CPanel of the site, and the wp-config.php file matches. I have a WordPress 2.3.3 version blog on anther site and it set up with no problems. But the new version is not installing. I appreciate any input.

    Thanks.

Yeah, Windows built-in ZIP is screwy a lot. I've never gotten it to work properly. Oh, it works fine if you also used the Windows ZIP stuff to build the ZIP, but for anything else, it's not 100% compatible.

I personally like 7 Zip. It's fast and efficient. WinRAR also works, but is not free.
