For some reason the most recent version of YARP is causing my feed to not work properly. I was going nuts trying to figure out why my feed wouldn't load and it ended up being this plug-in. I deactivated it and the feed worked. Not sure what it is though. Would be great if this could be fixed. Thanks!
@YOTS - thank you for the report and I apologize for the inconvenience.
I made a quick fix which I believe may fix the issue. If you could please try this development version and let me know if it works, I'd greatly appreciate it. If this fixes the issue, I will formally release it as 2.1.3 in the next day or two.
Thanks,
mitcho
I've released 2.1.3. Please see if that fixes your issue.

Same thing here. 2.1.3 doesn't fix it. :(
Please see if the just-released version 2.1.4 fixes your issues.

Nope... it freezes the feed, doesn't send new items to the RSS.
@rfischmann... hmm... I'm sorry to hear that. If you email me I might be able to support you better. I haven't heard of this issue from anyone else, though, so we'll see what I can do. :/
I have the same problem with the most recent version of the plugin. RSS is no longer valid and when running through the validator shows a bunch of garbage rather than XML.
@n2wq - can I take a look at your feed? You can email me the link if you'd like. I'm curious if there is an SQL error or if it's just stopping it completely, or something else entirely.
The live site is www.yourliferegained.com Let me create a backup copy somewhere during the Thanksgiving holiday so that I don't interrupt the current subscribers (all 10 of them :-) )
If I enable the RSS feature of the plugin, I get 502 error pages, if this is any helpful. Also, for some reason, it takes a few minutes to create or un-do the problem, i.e. the error takes a few minutes to impact the feed.
@n2wq - perhaps you turned off the "display in RSS" feature off again, as I don't see the related posts display in the RSS feed right now...

I had the same problem in that the plugin was causing a 502 response on my posts feed. My comments feed was just fine. I couldn't figure out why this was happening. What I did was uncheck "Display related posts in the descriptions?" in the feeds options and now everything is back to normal.
There may be a bug there in this area.
@edwardnh - Yes, with the help of @rfischmann, I was just able to verify that there is a bug here: even if you turn off the "display related posts in the feed", if the "display related posts in the descriptions" option is underlyingly turned on, it will still activate. I am going to release a bugfix, 2.1.5, in a day or two.
Thank you all for your reports!

I'm using version 2.1.6 of this plugin and I'm running into this problem. Releated post are still appearing in my RSS even though I turned that feature off. Please help.
@puhgete - hmm... that's very odd. Did clearing any caches (if you're using some caching plugin) help?
Hello,
I'm using v2.1.6 and also using the plugin Better Feed. When I installed the YARP plugin, it immediately broke the functioning of this other plugin (.i.e Better Feed content stopped appearing in the feed). When I unchecked the "Display related posts in feed?" box, Better Feed started functioning again. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
John
Hi @fgt - I'm not familiar with the Better Feed plugin, so I'll take a look at that incompatibility for the next release. Thanks for the report.

Hi mitchoyoshitaka,
I sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but I checked it a day or two later and it looks like it is ok. It must have been caching, even thought I though I thought I cleared it.
Thanks
Hi all--
I've finally released a beta of YARPP version 3.0 which now has a YARPP-internal cache. This should help substantially for the RSS timeout issues. I would appreciate it if you guys could give it a whirl: YARPP 3.0 beta 1. Thank you!

RSS doesn not work well.
In association with Podpress we ve got an 500 Error on stats and also RSS
Help needed :P
@palmipode - As I mentioned above, this is a known issue with YARPP 2.x which will be resolved with YARPP 3.0. If you would like, you can try the beta (3.0 beta 1) which has a caching feature which will fix this issue. Otherwise, I recommend you turn off the "automatic display in RSS feeds" option. :(

I'm having the same issue with Better Feed. I'd love for the YARPP output to appear beneath the Better Feed output.
@Pitchers Hit Eighth - I'll have to take a look at that Better Feed plugin and see how I can work with it, but it may be tricky. :/

It must have something to do with the related_posts function, because even after disabling the YARPP output for the RSS feed, Better Feed has not started working again.

I want to use YARP with tdo-mini-forms plugin, what I need is when user write a post and PREVIEW, before saving it show related post.
Is there any function that take form data as parameter and return related post array? or any idea to achieve this task?
Please help me out.
