Hi,

I am trying to create a video page very similar to this one: http://www.press75.com/demos/tvelements

The idea was to use jQuery to load a new video on the same page. National Geographic does this but with Flash (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/videos/player.html?channel=39678&category=39679&title=5961).

I have been trying to do this for few days, tried different plugins, tried it with FlowPlayer and got it almost working with a custom field except that I could not find out how to display the text and comments related to this video… I am very frustrated.

Any ideas? I am open to any suggestion.

you should go to http://www.revolutiontwo.com and see another wordpress theme which is very similar to tvelements called RevolutionTV, download it and check source code for educational purposes. Author is the same. He does very cool work.

Thanks but I really don’t see how this can help me. I can easily make a clone of tv.elements but I get stuck when I try to load a new video on the same page with text and comments. With the tv.elements theme, when you click to watch a new video in the list on the right, it loads a different page (e.g. http://www.press75.com/demos/tvelements/?p=33 instead of http://www.press75.com/demos/tvelements). I just want my videos and text and comments to be loaded on the same page (same url – for example: http://www.press75.com/demos/tvelements) and this needs to be done with AJAX. But how? That’s my question.

Does it make sense?
