• Hello there! Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply.

I have a popular restaurant site (listings, reviews, recipes etc) and I’m building blogs within (mydomain.com/yourname); however, I’m not using WPMU. The reason: I’m charging for folks to have a blog within my blog and I promote the site.

Will this screw up anything? I mean, I’m using separate data bases.

    Thanks.

  • You are charging people to post in your site or in different blogs within your domain?

WPMU would made the process of creating blogs easier, instead of installing wordpress for every different blog.

Different Blog within my site. I have site mydomain.com and I create a folder within my site (e.g., tinibits). Your site is now mydomain.com/tininbits. The index to your site will be of course in your folder. I’m charging you to be part of my network. I build the blog and give you (if needed) s tutorial on how to use WP.

    Thanks.

Again WPMU does that and makes it very simple to maintain the blogs.

Ok, but, then the person would be able to join at free will. Also, I have never used WPMU or installed it.

    Thanks in advance. 🙂

No you can disable free user registration where you can only add users, and the installation is not that much different.
