   okk. im using the Automatic Upgrade plugin so whenever there's a new wordpress version it lets me upgrade with just one click on the button. i did just that. & it says its upgraded. even my wordpress database shows its upgraded. btu somehow, my dashboard still shows me version 2.6.3. is there something im missing? hopefully someone can point it out for me.

   The latest upgrade as far as I know is 2.6.3

   as Keith explained, 2.7 isnt an official release. Its in the SVN. If you want to run that right now, youre going to need to grab it yourself, and NOT use a plugin.

   Okay... it's the 10th! Where is it!!!

   yeah. the release was delayed and an RC is expected to be released today. final version is a week or two late i think.
