How can I create a divider to run between my main page and sidebar at the site

I have deleted the original divider which was a gif file, as my text was running over it. Thanks

Simple, in one of your DIV (main, col, left, …) that goes from top to bottom, add a CSS “border-right: 1px dashed #333;” (or, border-left on sidebar or right DIV)

You can choose dashed or solid line, change color, thickness, etc.

Can you tell me where exactly in the CSS I should insert the code? Am totally new to CSS. Thanks

It depends on your theme. But generally the border-right declaration can be added to the “content” ID selector.

Bear in mind borders will render slightly different in the various browsers…
