Hi there I have just uploaded the wp-polls plugin into the wpcontent/plugins directory on the server but when I go to activate it, the plugin doesnt show up in the listing. Any idea what can be causing this problem? I am using the latest version of the plugin.

deactivate and activate it again. Make sure there that there is no nested folder like /wp-polls/wp-polls/. It should be just /wp-polls/

Posted 1 year ago #Hey Gamerz, thanks for the response. Its not nested but the bigger problem is that it doesnt show up in the admin > plugins area to be activated. Any ideas why?

I have not encountered this problem before maybe you want to try to delete the plugin and upload it again.

Ok so I didnt upload it to that folder? Is that what you're telling me because Im looking at it now and its there.

Posted 1 year ago #Hey guys i thanks for the help. Its really odd I look at the files in the folder and they are there but they are just not showing up on the site. Im thinking of uninstalling the entire thing and starting afresh. Thanks again though. Whooami you really are a funny dude/gal.

Posted 1 year ago #I have this same problem. I'm not a total noobie really, but feel that maybe my problem is somewhere backend like SQL or something?
Anyway, everything is uploaded to the correct folder
(wp-polls.php is in /wp-content/plugins/wp-polls)
I've tried deleting the folder, redownloading the archive, and reuploading the folder. Nothing seems to work... Any ideas?
