How to move database to a new server and a new domain

I post the question here because I didn´t get anu answer in misc.

I do have a problem. I will change a domain and keep the old database. The old domain was *.com and the new is *.net

But, both domains are active and when I import the database it triggers *.com because that settings is in the database.

Luckily I have the backup on my own disk because I change he address in the old database and in the new, the result was of course that *.net and *.com started in a endless loop… 🙂

Well, now I consider myself like the new Einstein… :-/

That was NOT the proper way to do it. I solve the problem with a murder of the new database.

But how should I done? I can´t figure that out.

Is there some table I shall avoid when I do the backup of the old database?

This can’t be a new problem…
