I've been trying Flash Player's 10 versions for a long time now and even the final one, released today, won't work well with WordPress. I've tried both the stable Firefox version and the new 3.1 Beta one. When I click the upload image button, it doesn't open the Open dialog window. I'm in Mac OS X's Leopard latest version, by the way.
We are aware of this. Adobe broke important functionality there, and there's no easy way to make it work yet.

Current solution: Don't upgrade to Flash 10.
Long term solution: SWFUpload is working on it, it'll likely get added to WP when they have a workable solution.

Awesome, it's good to know that it's not a particular problem of mine. Waiting anxiously for the update.

Looks like it's fixed in WordPress 2.7. Awesome! ;)

SWFUpload released 2.2.0 final on Friday:

with support for Flash 10. Hopefully this will make it into the next version of WP or an interim release before WP 2.8
