    99% certain that it’s something with your theme. Install the webdeveloper toolbar for firefox, it allows you to edit the CSS in realtime – making it a breeze to find and fix conflicts like these.

    Turns out I had a general style for <img> that was putting a 5px pad on the [+] in the navigation. It was fun to locate that one!
