I think this plugin has evolved in the wrong direction. It has become bloated and now takes forever to load on a slow connection. I wish for a simpler more elegant solution.

It's awfully slow for me on the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome. I deactivated ShareThis and am using Sociable instead.
