how to restore to an earlier version

    I updated to the new wordpress 4.0 and updated my plugins and themes and appearances also.
    I would like to restore wordpress to an earlier version but am not able to.
    have clicked on screen options there is no longer a box for earlier revisions to click on restore.

    please help

    Reverting to an earlier version of WordPress is not recommended. Is there a problem with 4.0 that you are having that we can help you with?

    I updated the plugins and themes and was not supposed to as this changes the appearance of the front of my centres website.

    So I need to roll back time as it were to an earlier version before those changes took affect.

    Please help and thank you so much for responding.

    the website is hosted by our web designer however he is not reliable so am sort of left to my own to resolve this.

    I do not have access to the back office only to wordpress.

    So reverting to an earlier REVISION of the website seems the quickest and easiest way to resolve this issue.

    The revision I refer to would be April/march of this year though do not know how to access this.
