   I can't find this anywhere, though I do see a few references to it in some posts.

   Is there a way to concisely display the date and gig title in the sidebar?

   Check the Appearance -> Widgets menu to add the sidebar widgets.

   And then, how to get rip of that calender. It stuk into my sidebar and even disabled, it stays there!!

   Do you mean that you've deactivated the plugin and the sidebar widget still appears?
