Embedded media problems

    Upgraded to WordPress 4.0 and almost all embedded media stopped working, including iframes. The only exceptions are some content rendered in a really old lightbox plugin, and an issuu embed. Most of my embeds are Vimeo videos and html/pdf files in iframes. I’d be happy to get the Vimeo files working if nothing else.

    In an effort to fix this I downgraded back to 3.92, but that didn’t solve the problems, so I went back to 4.0. Theme and all plugins are up to date.

    Looks like this may be a problem with another of your themes, which made me suspect it’s a theme issue here, too. Any ideas?

    It looks like you got it working. Can you tell me which Plug-In you are using?

    Jody, we ended up going with a new theme. No plug in should be needed to display embedded videos, it’s built in to WordPress, but for some reason we recently began having problems when we were using the Esplanade theme. When we changed the theme, the problem resolved itself.
