• I have followed the instructions at

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

    and

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

    but get the message

    “Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access / on this server”

when accessing my sub domains (or example http://blog.bsharp.se/)

but when I try bsharp.se it is working

And also when I want to activate my jetpack plugin it can not find my server. The message I get is:

“Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Feldetaljer: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 403]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/”

I started with my site http://www.bsharp.se/blog/ and used the page (one of the above in the start of this message)
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

and the section “Using a pre-existing subdirectory install”

I also want to move the blog site that now is the main site to the blog.bsharp.se .The old blogs at bsharp.se/blog/ is still accecible from that folder and is still correctly linked.

When installing Multisite my intention was to use sub-folders, but during the installation I got the message that since I already had sub-folders the domain alternatives was the only possible.

    Regards

    Anders

    NOT a WordPress error.

You pointed your subdomains to the wrong place, they need to point to where WP is installed.

So bsharp.se/blog/ is where ALL your subdomains need to point.

I also want to move the blog site that now is the main site to the blog.bsharp.se .The old blogs at bsharp.se/blog/ is still accecible from that folder and is still correctly linked.

That’s not easy and would be best done BEFORE you do any multisite shenanigans. Undo multisite, move it to the location you want it, and then go from there.
