    I add this plugin to almost all sites and it does a great job of speeding things up. However I am not a performance optimisation expert and I don’t understand half of what it says it does. I have found it occasionally causes issues with other plugins, and because it is complicated I have found it easier to turn it off altogether on one or two occasions than to try and figure out what the problem is.

    Having given the plugin a good review…

    It has an infuriating “Support Us, It’s Free!” message that pops up automatically every time you go to any of its pages in the cms.

    To try and stop the popup I wrote the above review, as it seemed that doing so would stop the pestering popup. However it had no effect, still getting the dratted thing.

    To be fair I have found it a very useful plugin for several years.

    BUT, since writing it I have found that on my latest site the ‘page caching’ setting, if enabled, is causing my archive pages to turn into blank white screens.

    Looking for support on the forum, I saw that

    a) the plugin authors rarely if ever seem to respond to any requests for support.

    b) apparently the plugin is incompatible with WP4.0 and no longer supported by the authors, according to other forum threads.

    For the above reasons I am now looking for more reliable and trustworthy alternatives to this plugin.
