Keep tags found in post

Is there any way to avoid the tags being deleted from the post tags section when saving? I’d like to have certain tags in my content and a complete list of tags saved in my post tags section.

Basically, avoid this part mentioned in the plugin description page: “But keep in mind that on saving a post all existing tas are removed and replaced by the tags found in your post!”
