What are you looking for in a Blogroll plugin?

I’d like to add a blogroll to my site.

You can do that with the already built-in tool.

First, create a menu with custom links: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide

Then, add the Custom Menu widget to your widget area (via Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard) and select the new blogroll menu you created.

I’m using a text widget and adding in categories and links as I discover new sites, and relocate old ones. Works for me.

Excellent, that works too if you know the HTML. 🙂

I generally suggest Menus since not everyone else does.

One more option you may not have thought of – if you log into your site as an admin then navigate to /wp-admin/options.php, you will find a setting named “link_manager_enabled”. The default value is ‘0″, meaning it’s disabled by default. Change that value to “1” (without the quotes, of course) then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save Changes” button. That should put the link manager back in your dashboard menu and add a “Links” widget to the Available Widgets section under Appearance.

I haven’t used the feature in a long time, but it might be worth exploring to see if it fits your needs.

Don’t see wp-admin/options listed on the admin page.

    Found it, links enabled.
