Blog not showing up in Google (or anywhere)

Hi,
I’ve had some difficulty setting up my blog at my own domain but it seems to be finally up and running for the last week or so. The problem is that if I google any of the terms I’ve put in as meta tabs (using the SEO all in 1 plug in) my blog doesn’t show up at all.

This is a major problme since I need the site as a marketing tool. It’s on a self named domain but even if I google my name, I see no sign of the blog. This would mean that the google bots haven’t been around in a week or so. Is this right or should I be worried.

Seriously considering going back to WordPress.com at this stage, it’s just so awkward!
