   Recently I've been trying to add new plugins, but they don't activate.

   I've tried with a number of new ones, all with the same result.

   When i click 'activate', the page loads and shows the typical 'Plugin activated' text.

   But the plugin still shows as 'inactive' and I cannot use it.

   Any ideas?

   ps: Similarly, I cannot seem to deactivate any plugins that were already active prior to this problem either.

   Same problem here, with 2.8 - anyone come up with any solutions in the last four months?
